for my friend who is
a crook, a creep,
a community champion,
gangbanger,
daddy good boy,
fellow dancer with devils-
the only kind i trust.
have we talked about
your face?
how when your mouth
opens to joy
the whole of your skin lifts
to Canopus
too, your heart’s in your toes,
i’m sorry i ditched thanksgiving to eat pecan pie alone and watch new girl
i promise to include my
friends in all future pity
parties, the least i can do
is wear a nice dress,
say "how do you do,"
serve drinks,
toast to how we harmonize
blow job tutorials, chicken soup,
a spinning globe that does not stop
that poem is one i wrote when i simply needed to write a poem to feel myself,
so i gave myself a prompt:
write one for brian.
here is where you can learn more about my poem’s muse,
Brian is ALWAYS curating and partaking in cool poet related things and typewriting at events. If that’s exciting to you, get on his mailing list: rentpoet.com
a monopoly update: so, i tracked my stats for a week and achieved roughly 70-80% wins. it fluctuated and became hard to keep track. since i achieved that milestone, i’ve noticed how icky the game is making me feel! there are issues with the app-
you can’t do honest trades, and sometimes people have icky names referencing liquids i’d rather not think about.
but. but! BUTT!
i played against a bratty sub! how do you know that i know?
because their username was:
HisDevilishBrat
*teehee*
In kink terms…
the “His”
means the brat is “owned” by a Dom,
and “Devilish Brat,” well…
you get it.
well thank you to my new and old subscribers!
i appreciate you sharing your precious inbox and time with me.
speaking of time!
i’m trying to spend mine more wisely than *cough* online monopoly.
today i went to pickleball on the rooftop of the Y, had a singing lesson and saw my family, who are now in town.
it was a pretty big achievement to be able to do all that on the second day of my period, when i’ve been historically bedridden. i’m excited about my healing progress!
well, it was a big day, so i’m going to head to sleep now.
but, i’m scheduling this to send in the morning,
in case you or anyone you know or love
needs a monday morning poem.
so, good morning and good week to you!
